Raffi Holzer is the CEO and co-founder of Avvir, an industry-leading Reality Analysis platform that automates the comparison of data gathered from construction project's existing conditions with digital design (BIM) models. Prior to starting Avvir, Raffi worked as a product manager, helping clients realize and bring to market products that served the needs of both the users and the business. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with two masters degrees in mechanical and bioengineering and enjoys finding ways to apply his interdisciplinary training to difficult problems. He is passionate about bringing cutting edge technology to market and often reads journal articles in fields ranging from neuroscience to materials engineering to stay ahead of what’s next.
Graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Computer Science, Electronic Media Arts & Communication Tira started her career as a Software Development Engineer for Amazon Instant Video where she helped scale backend services for Amazon’s video platform. Tira’s technical background in full stack web development and lean, user-centered design includes 4 years at Pivotal Labs as a Software Development Engineer. There Tira trained companies in modern product development practices, helping high level stakeholders to identify and target business goals, and helping other developers to write software more effectively. Leveraging her experience working with 2D, and 3D technical drawing tools and Big Data. Tira formed a foundation to bring to her role as Avvir’s CTO. Her passion for understanding users, careful prioritization, and responsible software development has allowed Avvir’s product features to develop rapidly in alignment with customer needs.
Matt has been involved in tech since 2009. A strong advocate for user-centered products, Matt has shipped over 18 products as a product manager and product leader across a variety of industries and company phases – from establishment Consumer Parking (yes, really 🚗) to David (vs. Goliath) Retail Banking to startup AdTech. He continues to implement innovative products and practices as Head of Product at Avvir. From Los Angeles, Matt graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology and minors in Economics and Political Science. He now lives in Brooklyn.
Kyle leads the Solutions Engineering team at Avvir, a construction technology company based in NYC that employs artificial intelligence to provide automated construction verification and progress monitoring. Leveraging his diverse background in the AEC industry, Kyle is interested in implementing technology to gain data driven insights that promote efficiency and innovation in all facets of real estate, design and construction.

MENTION
“Construction projects include complex processes that depend on strict organization and seamless collaboration. And yet, there are very few ways for managers to track all the data necessary for a successful project in one comprehensive system. Costs, material inventory, schedules, specs, crew manifest—there are a lot of moving parts involved, and without a centralized hub to navigate it all, mistakes can be made. But Raffi Holzer provides a solution with his company, Avvir, which offers a sophisticated process for assembling and analyzing construction data for better efficiency, safety, and accuracy.”

MENTION
“Construction sites have mostly looked the same for the last century or so, that's started to shift in a really rapid way. Part of that is about making sure that technology is an integral part of the process. Raffi Holzer and his company Avvir build digital twins that start at the construction level to make the most accurate digital model possible. In this video he shares what this means for construction and how they do it.”

MENTION
“Founded in 2017 by Raffi Holzer and Tira Odhner, Avvir asserts that its platform can locate problem areas within one-eighth inch of accuracy. The software compares Building Information Modeling (BIM), essentially a high-tech version of traditional blueprints, with laser scans to flag any discrepancies.”
“It’s all about automation and saving time. We are going down a path with Avvir that a few years ago we never thought was possible.”
